Regardless of where Beyoncé and Jay Z decide to raise their brand new twins, a boy and girl born on June 12, there’s no doubt that their little ones will be living in the lap of luxury. The superstar parents currently own properties in New York City and New Orleans and are rumored to have their eyes on a mansion in Los Angeles to expand their real estate holdings (the couple was also rumored to have purchased a Brooklyn Heights condo in 2016). In September 2004, Jay Z closed a two-year-long deal on the seventh floor of a converted brick warehouse on Hudson Street, shelling out $6.5 million for the 8,000-square-foot space, which also includes 3,000-square-feet of outdoor terraces—more than enough to give the couple’s three children room to roam under city lights.
The Carters also own a 13,292-square-foot home in the Garden District of New Orleans, in what used to be a Presbyterian church. The pair dropped $2.6 million for the property, which comprises three 1,000-square-foot apartments spread over three stories. The home has a total of 22 rooms, including seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, in addition to a step-up dining room, a loft-style sitting room, and a library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. Much like their New York City home, their New Orleans property features a rooftop planted with grass that serves as a yard with views of downtown.

Last year the couple was rumored to be looking at a unit in Brooklyn Bridge Park’s new development, Pierhouse. It is unclear whether they decided on Brooklyn Bridge Park or went all-in on a condo in Brooklyn Heights. There were also rumors that the couple may have put in a $120 million bid for a brand new mansion in Los Angeles’s exclusive Bel Air neighborhood. Although the couple may have been outbid by a buyer offering $135 million for the trophy property, it seems they are still on the hunt: They recently toured Aaron Spelling’s former mansion, which currently belongs to Petra Ecclestone. The British Formula 1 heiress purchased the 57,000-square-foot French Chateau–style home in 2011 for $85 million and it includes a bowling alley and a humidity-controlled silver storage room. The move to Los Angeles seems like it could be a permanent one, as the couple’s 5-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, is already in preschool there.
